Here's a bit of the lift structure taken from Allentown Road. According to Denise Dinn-Larrick of CCI at the Legend walk back they had to redesign the ride several times because city of Eureka did not want the lift near the road. It seems that they are paranoid that the park will close (this is Six Flags we're talking about!) and the coaster will fall over onto the road that boarders the park.
Here's a shot of where the drop will be. Piled up there is a bunch of the structure for the lift. I figure they'll start working on the drop in a week or so. I'll post some updated photos after my trip on February 7th so that you can see the progress.
In addition to the new coaster it looks like the Screaming Eagle is getting some work as the turnaround has some tarps covering the track. If you haven't rode this great out and back hit it as it is pretty fun.
