After being awake for almost two whole days, driving from Illinois to Texas, spending the day riding the Boardwalk Bullet at the Kemah Boardwalk, driving up to Arlington and spending a couple of hours at Six Flags Over Texas that night you'd have thought that I'd sleep in. But since I don't really have the chance often to see the sun rise over coasters anymore and we were staying right across the street from Six Flags Over Texas I was up before the crack of dawn and good to go. Besides sleep isn't for a coaster trip with ones buddies, it's for afterwards.

As I left the hotel and crossed the street the clear sky was slowly turning orange and with the temperature nice and warm it was destined to be a fantastic day for some serious coaster riding.

Judge Roy Scream is actually located outside of the park proper (accessed via tunnel) so you can get several nice views of it without ever entering the park.

I walked around the Judge's turnaround and noticed that the parks parking lot had opened and that there were several cars already there so I walked along the lake towards the main entrance to Six Flags Over Texas. On one side of the lake sits Six Flags Over Texas' parking lot and on the other side sits the Judge. It was just magical watching the Judge silhouetted by the slowly rising sun.
