On May 4, 2002 Six Flags Over Georgia debuted the first flying coaster in North America by Bolliger & Mabillard...Superman Ultimate Flight.  

Looming above Metropolis Park Superman Ultimate Flight awaits it's first victims...I mean riders. 

At 10 in the morning over a hundred enthusiasts and media people anxiously awaited their first ride but of course there needed to be a few speeches.
