Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom Louisville, Kentucky April 23, 2005 Page Three
Here's me after my "Zen Ride" where there was just me and the coaster, no one else was on board. The silence was especially nice because the rest of my thirty-five laps on Greezed Lightnin' were filled with shrieking teenagers. While the Kentucky Derby Festival is on it is the best time to get over to Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom because there's so much going on around town that you can walk for a while and see no one but yourself and the employees of Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. A few years ago we went the day after the Derby and we were the only ones in the far side of the park for quite a while.
These really nice directional signs were added in the middle of the year last year. I have to give Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom kudos for them because some people have a hard time finding their way around this parks funky layout.
The Twicket is back! I remember back in the eighties when then Marriott's Great America (now Six Flags) introduced the Twicket so that guests can come back for a second day. Of course back then it was just one dollar but eight dollars for a second day's admission is pretty good. This is a great idea and I'm glad to see Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom doing it.
