Really you're up to the top of El Toro before you can really
realize it and a few seconds after that you're jolted by an extremely
quick plunge to Earth.
There's no if's and's or but's about it you will be screaming your head
off down El Toro's first drop. The airtime is extreme due to El
Toro's seventy six degree drop. It's the steepest drop on a wooden
coaster and an interesting thing to note is Great Adventure waited until
Holiday World announced The Voyage to see what degree that coasters
first drop was to be so they could beat it and get the record for
steepest drop.
With it's huge first drop and the rest of the drops quite a bit lower
than that El Toro doesn't slow down one bit.
El Toro doesn't have airtime...it has EXTREME airtime over each of it's
hills. If there ever was a ride where if the restraint failed and
popped open you'd be catapulted out of the train and sent flying, this
is it.
