This is the main reason for our trip to Great America; the heart and soul of the park, The Whizzer.

Like the sign says the last ride on the Whizzer was to be Sunday August 11, 2002 so we wanted to pay our final respects to this masterpiece and to get Bond his first and last ride on it. Very good news...On Wednesday August 7th announced that they were going to keep the Whizzer due to the huge response in support of the Whizzer by enthusiasts and everyone else! Anyone who has grown up in the Northern Indiana-Illinois and Southern Wisconsin area in the last 40 years probably started riding coasters on the Whizzer.

This is the real reason they're keeping the Whizzer because Bond chained himself to it.
