Six Flags Great America Gurnee, Illinois 1990 Page Two
The Shockwave was the tallest looping coaster in the world when it was put in. I'm not a major fan of it's second half but the first drop rocks.
See...the first drop does rock. Actually it's quite fun from the front seat as when you first crest the lift all you see is the ticket plaza below before turning and diving down to the ground.
Loop #1 of the Shock Wave's 7 takes you 13 stories above the ground.
