Ok, enough of the pining over how wonderful Silver Dollar City is and back to the coasters.
Thunderation is one of the last mine train coasters to be built by Arrow Dynamics and is probably the best of the bunch.
Thunderation is situated on the side of a very wooded hill which it uses to effect extremely well.
This is really all you can see of Thundedration before getting on it. You start out of the station not getting on a lift but twisting your way down the hillside to one of the most insane helices ever. Once that twisted goodness is over you hit the lift about two-thirds of the way through the ride. From there Thunderation sends you on a twisting drop that is pure bliss down some eighty feet into a ravine before sending you up into the station. We wanted more than one ride on it but they were running one train only which meant long lines.
