Old Chicago: The Rides Page Two
The Chicago Loop was one of the first Corkscrew coasters made by Arrow Dynamics. Basically after the drop you go into a 180 degree turn into two corkscrew loops then into another 180 degree turn into the brake run and station. I never rode it but I have ridden the Corkscrew at Michigan's Adventure which is an exact copy and was a short but fun ride.
This is the only other good photo of the Chicago Loop and you can see the bottom of the drop and the loops in the distance. One of the cool parts of this coaster was that inside the turn into the brake run was a circus. The turn was just at the back of the seating for the circus so every minute a train would go swooping by.
In addition to the Chicago Loop the park also featured many other rides such as the Enterprise. I remember going on this once and wow did it get me sick. I can take any coaster ride but if you spin me around in a circle watch out I get sick easy. Click here for more Old Chicago ride photos.
