Old Chicago: The Fun Factory Page Two
Here's a shot of the Polliwog Pond which was a tarp over some squishy uneven substance. One thing that the Fun Factory had was carpeting over everything and plenty of places to climb or sit.
At the Fun factory there were also plenty of things to ride on such as this car ride. They also had a great dark ride that went under the mall called the Four Seasons. As I remember it you went through all four seasons with Santa Claus but I could be mistaken.
A park wouldn't be a park without a carousel. The characters on the carousel is Mayor Charlie Brindle who would do magic tricks (just as a mayor of Chicago should be able to...pull a fast one), the Old Chicago Cub (no explanation necessary) and the Chicago Squirrel (??????)
