Knoebels Amusement Resort Elysburg, Pennsylvania Phoenix Phall Phunphest 1999 Page One Well after dreaming of heading to Knoebels for years Carrie suggested we go to Phall Phunfest so we went.
This is the reason that I've wanted to head to Knoebels...the fabulous Phoenix. I've seen photos and heard stories about this monster airtime machine and I needed to ride it.
Here's me getting on for my first

I really love the "atom" on
top of the Phoenix's lift hill. This ride was originally the Rocket at Playland Park
in San Antonio Texas which had closed down in the 1980's and was restored and moved here
in 1985. It's a Herb Schmeck-Philadelphia Toboggan Coaster design from the 1940's.
