We started talking about what to do to top the insane fun of the
Negative-G 2009 Road Trip which included
Coney Island,
Six Flags Great
Adventure, Six Flags New
England,
Lake
Compounce and
The Great
Escape as soon as we got home from that trip. Soon afterwards
Intimidator 305 and Intimidator were announced for Kings Dominion and
Carowinds and those two parks became the foundation for this years trip.
After much planning, changes to the plan after Freestyle Music Park
closed, and several changes to the roster of who was coming we finally
hit the road from our various homes and ended up in Virginia at Kings
Dominion to kick off the Negative-G 2010 Road Trip.
As soon as we got out of our van Corey started to mourn his lost Geauga
Lake Park as Batman Knight Flight from that park had been transplanted
at Kings Dominion and rechristened Dominator.
Of course we made it to Kings Dominion well before the park opened.
Here's Josh (aka: Munjo) waiting patiently to get into the park and take
Intimidator 305; or "Timi" as we nicknamed it, for a ride.
Being a huge park map fan (if you have any he'll gladly take them off
your hands to plaster over his walls with) Bond found one as soon as we
got there and started planning our route for the day.
Being Cedar Fair pass holders Kings Dominion offered early entry like
the rest of the parks in the chain. So we were past the gated and
headed straight back to Timi to get a few rides in before before the
crowds descended onto it.
