What a gorgeous view! As soon as I saw Steel Hawg the only
thought that ran through my mind was "this is going to be some serious
fun".
We actually arrived at Indiana Beach about half an hour before the park
opened so we got to see a few test runs of Steel Hawg to whet our
appetite for later.
When they announced where Steel Hawg was to be located I scratched my
head as to why as it is quite a bit away from the rest of the park in an
area that used to be a parking lot on the other side of the Beach House
Hotel. Connecting Steel Hawg to the rest of Indiana Beach is this
nice plaza that also used to be part of the parking lot. My guess
is that in a few years this space will be full of a few more rides which
will be nice.
Since we had some free time before the rides opened we figured we'd go
and take a walk through a completely empty Indiana Beach. Actually
it was like this all day long as we pretty much had exclusive park time.
