After living away from Santa Claus for over three years it was
nice to see the Holiday World water tower on the horizon. We were
home.
Bond and I arrived at Holiday World a little before the start of the
annual HoliWood Nights coaster enthusiast event so I asked the boy what
he wanted to do? Which he replied "Pilgrims Plunge".
Heading down the hill into Thanksgiving we ended up getting the last
boat of the day just the two of us. We headed out from the
station, floated around to the tower the headed up. About half the
way up Pilgrims Plunge shut down leaving up sitting there in mid air.
We had a nice view of the park before the Plunge started up again.
Once at the top again we sat there, but only for a moment before
plunging down the huge drop only to get soaked at the bottom.
As we left Pilgrims Plunge The Voyage's lift hill was silhouetted
against the fading sun. The event is called HoliWood NIGHTS as the
real fun begins after the park closes for the day and after the sun goes
down. The Voyage at night is something that everyone should try as
it will change your world.
