Holiday World & Splashin' Safari Santa Claus, Indiana 2006 Construction Update September 24, 2005 Page Four
Here's where The Voyage will be speeding past the trees at 67.4 miles per hour. One thing that I think sets Holiday World's coasters apart from other parks is that they keep the trees around their coasters. Having foliage flying by adds to the sensation of speed and just makes it that much more of an enjoyable ride.
The top of the second hill will eventually sit to the right of this photo and the third hill will sit where the cleared path turns off to the left.
This is just around the turn in the clearing and where you will come flying down the 100 foot drop into the Voyage's first and sixth tunnel. What really impressed me and the renderings of The Voyage didn't do any justice is how much vertical change in the terrain there is. The number that I heard from the stream at the Voyage's station all the way up to the top of the hill is a hundred feet.
