Holiday World & Splashin' Safari Santa Claus, Indiana 2006 Construction Update April 1, 2006
With The Voyage it seems like most of the work is on the little final touches as all of the structure is in place and they've got to be pretty close to completing the track. About the most visible work on The Voyage from the highway is the continued work on the tunnel for the triple-down. The roof is in place while the walls are yet to be completed. The most visible work that's going on for Holiday World's huge 60th season expansion is over at Gobbler Getaway where in a week we've gone from studded walls to having the siding being put on.
I'm not sure when the guts of Gobbler Getaway is going to start appearing but earlier this week several of the anamatronic figures for it could be seen on the Sally Dark Rides webcam.
Another finishing touch this week has been with the completion of the bridge down into Thanksgiving. There has been a lot of work up hill from here so chances are they're getting the new path down into Thanksgiving together.
Well there's just 33 days to go until opening day so they're extremely busy over at Holiday World. To all of those over there working hard to get the park ready for opening day thank you.
