2006 Construction Update

What is this up jutting out of the forest floor?  It is The Voyage's fourth hill that has been added this week. 

It is officially March Madness time and while I'm certain that many at Holiday World would love to be watching basketball like most Hoosiers this is crunch time for them as the clock is ticking.  As of today they have 62 days to go before opening.

The Voyage's fourth hill takes you out of the rides first tunnel over the top of the hill and access road before plunging you down into a second tunnel before the rides twisted turnaround.  Going out of one tunnel and flying over an air time filled hill before diving down into another one reminds me of Tremors at Silverwood in Idaho.  The Voyage is going to be a hit as it takes the best parts of some of the most popular rides from the last ten years and has them all in one ride.

The Voyage's station and what I think is going to be the gift shop are also still a work in progress but are coming along.

I'm pretty certain that the new building is going to be a gift shop even though I have had no confirmation of this because in the Thanksgiving section they already have a restaurant, Pepsi Oasis and bathroom so it is not going to be any of those.
