Holiday World & Splashin' Safari Santa Claus, Indiana 2006 Construction Update February 6, 2006
With the addition of a roof to The Voyage's station this week the anchor attraction for the Thanksgiving section is really coming together. What still blows me away is how massive everything for The Voyage is from its 173 foot tall lift hill to it's huge station that towers over everything in the area.
Up over on the highest elevation along The Voyage's course there have been plenty of trucks the past week. I'm certain that they are working on The Voyage's insane terrain turn around and the track that goes through the tunnels in this area.
I think that this foundation is going to be for the Gobbler's Getaway dark ride. I believe that between now and when everything was announced in July the plans for the Thanksgiving section have been revised and its position shifted south to where the forms for the foundation are now being erected.
Talking about how massive The Voyage it not only fills this view but it goes beyond both the left and right edges of this photo. That's all for this week. Check back next week for more.
