Holiday World & Splashin' Safari Santa Claus, Indiana 2006 Construction Update December 31, 2005
Work on The Voyage hasn't stopped due to the holidays. The third hill has received bundles of wood to eventually be laid down as track. My little surprise at coming home from Christmas with family was this section of track coming out of The Voyage's seventh tunnel.
Moving a bit further down the road you can see more of the track. You are going to come flying out of that tunnel and this hill should be the last pop of The Voyage's 24.2 seconds of airtime.
After cresting that hill The Voyage will dive into yet another tunnel on the other side of the crane. The Voyage will come out of the tunnel exit that is just to the right of the crane's base. If you look just under the crane's boom you can also see The Voyage's brake run.
My heart still starts to race at the sight of the Voyage and it is so huge that parts of it can be seen from all the highways that head into Santa Claus, IN. We just have 125 days to go until Holiday World & The Voyage's opening day.
