2006 Construction Update

This weekend was the end of Holiday World's 2005 season so we all headed on over to the park to get a few more rides before everything closed up.  While having fun it was hard not noticing The Voyage's towering lift hill.

There's been a lot of work on it over the past week.

Mostly they have been expanding the lift hill structure back to where it will cross over The Voyage's return leg.  I'm curious if they are going to complete the lower portion of the lift hill before working on the structure over the crossover.

The thing is that The Voyage has a lot of growing to go as it is still just around a hundred and ten feet tall so once the taller crane gets on site I'd expect work to top it off to begin.

It didn't look like much has happened with the new pathway down into Thanksgiving this week but here's a different view of the missing part of the Bamboo Chute water slide.  With the park closed it'll be easier to get it all torn up.
