Holiday World & Splashin' Safari Santa Claus, Indiana 2006 Construction Update October 22, 2005 Page Two
The rate they're going we may see almost all of the lift hill structure done in the next week. What's going to be great to see is the second and third hills added to this view over the winter. The second hill should be dead center of this view while the third will be to the right of that.
It looks like they have the foundation for the bridge where the walkway down into Thanksgiving is going to cross over the access road. I wonder if they will eventually add a bit more to the back of the building facades for Raging Rapids since everyone is going to walk right by them on the way to The Voyage?
Of course work continues on re-tracking parts of The Raven. The old track is gone and now they're starting to lay down the new track. During the winter the picnic shelter is home for not only the hundreds of trash cans that sit in Holiday World's parking lot but it's also a convenient place to put the park's two trams in order to get them out of the elements. That's all for this week. It'll be interesting seeing how The Voyage progresses in the next seven days.
