2006 Construction Update

January 15, 2006

Work has continued on completing the structure for The Voyage's finale this week.  They have extended the structure out of the final tunnel and are working on spiraling it up into the brake run.

This area is going to be neat next year because the walkway heading down into the new Thanksgiving area is going to right through this tangle of track where The Voyage is going to go not over it but under the walkway as well.

It is a little hard to get a clear view of this area from the road but hitting this hill at speed is going to be fun. 

Today they were doing some excavation to the lower left and right side of this photo so I'm curious if they are finally starting to work on the foundations for the new restaurant and other buildings that are going into Thanksgiving.
