Holiday World & Splashin' Safari Santa Claus, Indiana Construction Update February 8, 2004 Page Two
I'd guess that all of the slide parts as well as the structure for the Jungle Racers has arrived. I saw what I thought were wooden trusses possibly for the new restaurant earlier in the week out here in the employee parking lot as well. It is frustrating that I couldn't get out to take pictures as the parking lot was completely filled with parts.
Of course finally being able to see some vertical construction which is on the right side of this picture makes up for it and is pretty sweet.
We'll end it all up this week with the Raven. There has been activity on her as well. You can't see it in this picture or easily from the road but it looks like the Raven's tunnel has received some new wood. I know that the "pothole" at the bottom of the Raven's first drop was one of their goals to remove during this off season so it wouldn't surprise me to find that the tunnel does indeed have new wood. With vertical construction underway chances are you'll see another update here next week so check back when you can.
