Plenty of work has been going on in the rolling hills of Kentucky.
The Kentucky Rumbler has had quite a bit of progress made in completing its structure. During the construction tour in October Jeff Pike of GCI mentioned that they were working from the Rumbler's outside and working in towards the station which will be the final part of the structure that is to be completed.
I am looking forward to this stretch of track that parallels the road that heads to the racetrack. It'll be nice to fly by cars at speed.
The plan was to complete the Kentucky Rumbler's structure in late November/Early December so that they have time to do the track work, install motors and electronics and complete testing by the end of March.
In addition to a new location Beech Bend's Looping Star has received a new name. It's now known as Brief Encounter which is an interesting name that has started to grow on me. Thanks to Brian Krampe for these pictures.
