It's a joy to be blasted up into the sky. The
lift hill for the Tornado is in the background.
The Dragon is a bizarre coaster. The strangeness
starts with the station. The outside of the station is pretty bland but once you're
in the cue it's decorated with medieval shields and emblems when the rest of the ride and
area aren't themed at all. I say go all out with the theming or don't
theme at all.
I really like the ride's layout but the
trains really detract from the ride. All of the padding is of very
hard foam and for some very strange reason there's a sharp ridge of foam
across the back of any adult's skull when seated. So I only rode this
once and went back to the wood coasters.
The Dragon was made by Hopkins and is
one of only four coasters made by them. Hopkins is better known for
their flume rides rather than their coasters.
